In the meantime, ICOM Define is working on a methodology for the definition of a museum. It is based on the results of its previous consultations, and aims for a transparent process that incorporates all viewpoints. The next phase will be presented at the next ICOM General Conference in 2022. It will involve four rounds of consultation, 11 steps, and a final outcome. The entire process will take approximately 18 months, from December 10th to early May 2022. However, it is important to note that this schedule is subject to change based on circumstances.
